We will be meeting at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History on January 24 for the Filipino Manongs exhibit titled, “How Can You Forget Me: Filipino American Stories.” We suggest for you to take the WMATA Metro Rail Subway for this field trip. We hope to start at the entrance of the Smithsonian Metro Station on the National Mall at 9:45 A.M. We will walk towards the museum at 10:00 A.M. It is about a 5-minute walk. We will then go to the 2 West exhibit hall where the Filipino Manongs exhibit is situated at the Nicholas F. and Eugenia Taubman Gallery. We will also look forward to see a nearby exhibit hall on American History titled “How Do We Know Our US?” We hope to spend an hour and a half and welcome you stay longer to explore the other exhibits on your leisure for the rest of the day. Hope you can join us!
